This study focused on school location, teaching facilities and academic achievement of JSS 3 students in Social Studies in Cross River State, Nigeria. To achieve the purpose of this study, two (2) research questions were posed and one (1) hypothesis was formulated. The study adopted Expost facto research design. Social Studies teachers and students were used for the study. Three (3) instruments were used for data collection. Independent t-test was used to test hypothesis one while answers were sought for research question. The results obtained revealed that there is no significant influence of school location on academic achievement of students and there are divergent views among teachers on their perception of teaching facilities. It was concluded that teaching facilities are important factors in the teaching and learning of Social Studies. It was recommended among others that government should urgently embark on renovation and procurement of teaching facilities across secondary schools in the State for effective implementation of the curriculum.
